How goes it? My car is broken and work sucks, but music feeds the soul. This is The Main Squeeze nailing Led Zeppelin’s No Quarter . I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better cover (including other ones by these guys like War Pigs and Have A Cigar ) , it captures the haunting nature of the original without copying it directly . I’ve listened to it back to back with the original a couple of times now and I dare say that outside the context of Houses of the Holy and the weight of history behind the original, this is better musically . Great band and magnificent guitar solo , really well phrased. Solo starts around 5 minutes in, enjoy:

That was really good. I remember watching the dvd of a live show where it dives into some weird Sleepy Hollow stuff, I was in high school and thought it was pretty much the most amazing/bizarre thing I’d ever seen. I was obsessed with that song for a while after...

I became thoroughly obsessed with Zep in junior high, once I found out how weird the band was I just dove in. Houses of the Holy was a watershed album, I listened to it constantly. It didn’t help that I’m a drummer, Bonham was god.
